Privacy Policy

This website, qcyberindia.com, is operated by QCYBERINDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U62020TN2026PTC199608), a private limited company incorporated in India on 28 October 2026 (“QCyberIndia”, “we”, “us”, “our”). For the personal data described in this policy, we decide why and how it is processed, and are its data fiduciary under Indian law.

This policy covers this website, its forms and the contests we run on it. QFinera (qfinera.qcyberindia.com) is a product of QCyberIndia, not a separate company. Signing up for and using the QFinera application is covered by the privacy terms shown in that application.

We collect only what you give us, and what we need to run the website and our contests safely:

• Contact and partnership forms: your name, email address, company or product name, website, and the message you write to us.
• QFinera updates list: your name and email address.
• Contest registration: your full name, email address, mobile number, city, state, college or organisation (optional) and participant category; the public URLs of your LinkedIn profile, your LinkedIn repost and your Instagram profile; your confirmation of each social-media step; and the dates on which you accepted the contest terms and this policy and agreed to receive contest emails. We also keep a record of our team's review of your registration.
• Referral activity from QFinera: when someone uses a contest referral link, QFinera sends us the referral code, an internal QFinera account reference, the email domain, the dates of registration, email verification and activation, and one-way hashes (irreversible codes) of the new user's email address and, where available, their phone number, network address, device and a visitor reference. For a click on a link we receive only a hashed visitor reference. We use these only to count genuine registrations and to detect duplicates, self-referrals and fraud. We never receive the referred person's name, email address, phone number or password.
• Security data: one-way hashes of your network (IP) address and, for contest registrations, of your email address and mobile number. We use these for rate limiting and for finding duplicate or fraudulent registrations. We do not store your raw IP address for these purposes.
• Usage data: if analytics are switched on, the information described under “Cookies and analytics” below.

We never ask for, and you should never give us, the password to any social-media or other account.

• To reply to your messages, partnership proposals and other inquiries.
• To run contests: to register you, review your social-media steps, issue and track your referral link, rank the leaderboard, contact winners, award prizes and issue certificates.
• To send you the emails you asked for, such as confirmations, sign-in links, contest updates and QFinera news. You can ask us to stop any of these at any time.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the website and its users secure, and meet our legal obligations.

We process the data you give us on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form or register for a contest, and, where the law allows, for legitimate uses such as keeping the website secure and meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”). Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, but withdrawing consent for a contest ends your participation in that contest.

A contest leaderboard shows only your display name (your first name and the initial of your last name), your rank and your number of qualified registrations. Your email address, mobile number, city, state, organisation and social-media profiles are never shown to other participants or the public.

A certificate's verification page shows its certificate ID, the name on it, the certificate type, the contest and the date it was issued, so that anyone you share it with can confirm that it is genuine.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website, and only as much as they need to do their job:

• our hosting and database providers;
• Cloudflare, which carries and protects the website's traffic;
• Resend, which delivers our emails;
• Google and Microsoft, if analytics are switched on;
• government authorities, courts or law enforcement, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. We visit the public LinkedIn and Instagram pages you give us (for example, to check a repost), but we do not send your data to LinkedIn or Instagram.

When you sign in to the contest participant dashboard, we set one essential cookie that keeps you signed in. The website does not work for signed-in features without it.

If analytics are switched on, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity may set cookies and record how pages are used: which pages you visit, how you move around them, your type of device and browser, and your approximate location. We use this only to understand and improve the website. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the website.

• Messages and inquiries: for as long as we need to deal with them, and then for up to two years.
• QFinera updates list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
• Contest participant data: until twelve months after the contest ends, so that we can settle prizes, questions and disputes. It is then deleted or anonymised. Certificate records (certificate ID, name, contest, certificate type and issue date) are kept so that certificates stay verifiable.
• Referral and audit records: kept with the contest record, without names or email addresses, for audit and dispute purposes.
• Contest sign-in links expire after 20 minutes, and dashboard sessions after 7 days.

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side checks on everything you submit, rate limits, signed sessions and restricted administrative access. We store only hashes of sign-in links and session tokens. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires. If you think your data has been exposed, email [email protected].

Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force, you may:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
• withdraw a consent you gave us;
• nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to; and
• raise a grievance with us, and, if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address you gave us. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

Questions or complaints about how we handle personal data can be sent to our Grievance Officer at [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy grievance”. We will acknowledge your grievance and aim to resolve it within one month.

Our contests are open only to people aged 18 or over, and the website is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
